HOME HEALTH AIDE

  • Perform personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, and using the bathroom

  • Perform household duties, including meal preparation and light housekeeping.

  • Provide patients with mobility assistance.

  • Follow assignments and guidelines set by RNs, PTs, and/or OTs

  • Maintain patients care records and document provided services

  • Focus on exercises and activities to improve balance, strength, gait, and endurance to reduce the risk of falls.

  • Improve patients' ability to ambulate and or transfer safely.

  • Evaluate the need for and train in the use of devices such as shower chair, walker, wheelchair, cane etc.

  • Instruct patients in home exercise program.

  •  Teaches you how to adapt with use of equipment to aid in accomplishing independence.

  • Focuses on activities of daily living such as cooking, bathing, dressing, and other household tasks.

  • Teach on activity and rest for energy conservation techniques. 

  • Instruct patients in home exercise program.
